How Much Does A Website Cost?

Answer:

This question has many answers and the cost of a website depends greatly on what type of website you require. Basically, there are three different types of website as follows:

A static or brochure website - Probably the most common type of website for businesses and is designed purely to give visitors information on the organisation and encourage visitors to contact them. Typical cost for a static website is around £100 per page for a professional website which is built-to-order and does not use templates.

An online store - If you wish to sell products online then you require an online store or e-commerce shop. A simple online store designed to sell a small amount of products should cost between £600-£800 whilst a fully fledged online store capable of managing hundreds of products is likely to cost between £1,500 and £5,000.

A dynamic website - a dynamic website is usually based around a database of some description. When the visitor enters a query, the website will deliver results from the database relevant to the visitors query. Typical examples of dynamic content are searches where you enter a specific query within the website search facility. Dynamic websites differ massively in their size and complexity so costs will also differ massively but you should allow around £1,500 to £4,000 for the most common types of dynamic website.
